The members of the
Orono
Police Department welcome you to our website. The Orono Police Department
is proud to serve the nearly 12,000 residents in the cities of Long Lake,
Orono, Minnetonka Beach and Spring Park.
The Orono Police Department has 19 full time police officers, 1 part time officer, 3 civilian support staff and 1 community service officer. Two years ago we met, discussed values, and agreed on this mission statement:
"The members of the Orono Police Department are committed to providing the highest quality policing through fairness, service and pride. To foster this ideal, we promise to work in partnership with the communities we serve."
All of us take pride in our work and are happy to serve
this 
beautifulcommunity.Policing in Orono is often done on a first name
basis.Many members have chosen to stay in the department for the majority
of our careers. We like it here because of the opportunity to make a difference
and we know our efforts are appreciated by the people we serve.
Our website is designed to provide information to our residents, thebusiness community, visitors, potential employees, and a special section just for our young people. We will introduce you to our values, our services, answer frequently asked questions, and would love to hear back from you on how we are doing.
