Sometimes the Police Department is fortunate to benefit from the special skills and abilities of individuals or groups within the community. This web site was designed and built by a talented young woman who desired to give something back to the community. She wrote us to let us know she wanted to help. She had skills that could help Orono Police officers become closer to the people they serve.
The Orono Police Department wishes to thank Stephanie Grande for her many hours of hard work, generosity and brainpower in creating this site. We loved having this opportunity to show Stephanie who we really are, so she could share us with her friends and neighbors. Stephanie, you are awesome. Thanks!
Note from the Webmaster: It’s been a privilege and a blast to work with the men and women of this organization over the last year. I knew they were smart when they helped fix a longstanding neighborhood problem a while ago. But I didn’t know how “tuned in” they were to the community, how well they know us, and how much they care.
These people are more than a shadowy presence in the black and white patrol car behind you on Highway 12 (doesn’t that make you nervous?) They’re some of the best listeners you’ll ever find when you need one. They’re great, motivated problem solvers. And they’re part of us.S. Grande
