Alcohol Compliance Training Program
June 9, 2008
The Orono Police Department and the Department of Public Safety’s Alcohol and Gambling Enforcement Division would like to invite those who own or work in Orono, Long Lake, Minnetonka Beach or Spring Park businesses holding liquor licenses to an informational seminar. The seminar will take place on Monday, June 9, 2008, from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. at the Hennepin County Sheriff’s Water Patrol building at 4141 Shoreline Drive, Spring Park, MN.
The seminar will cover the state law on compliance checks and detecting false ID’s. This seminar is designed for liquor licensees and their employees. We want you and your employees to know why we conduct compliance checks. The employee risks criminal charges and business owner risks civil action against their liquor license if underage patrons are served liquor. We want you to have the knowledge to pass all compliance checks.
We will be making available a roster of those attending the seminar to our respective city councils in an effort to demonstrate those owner's and employees' commitment to this phase of responsible alcohol beverage sales.
The seminar is free, but space is limited. Call Officer
Tony White at 952-249-4700 and reserve a place if you own or work in one
of these establishments.
