The Orono Police Department encourages the use of mediation to settle your dispute before you file a case in Conciliation Court. The North Hennepin Mediation Program can be reached at

during the hours of 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.

What is mediation? In mediation you will meet with the other party and a mediator. The purpose of the meeting is to try and reach an agreement between you and the other party to settle the dispute. The mediator is not a judge and will not decide on a solution, but will help the parties reach an agreement.
