Spring Park Man Arrested for Criminal Sexual Conduct With 15 Year Old Girl
On 6/27/04 the Orono Police Department received a call from a 15 year old resident of Tonka Bay.
The victim said she had been walking on County Rd 19 in the Lake Minnetonka area and was waved over to a white Nissan passenger vehicle occupied by a man she believed was in his mid 20s.
The man told her he worked at 97 FX Radio station. She believed his first name was “Kevin.”
They had a conversation about music and she agreed to go to his Spring Park apartment where he gave her alcohol and some unidentified pills. The man then engaged in nonconsensual sexual contact.
The victim said she asked to leave several times before the man agreed to drive her to her neighborhood. He told her not to tell anyone and said, “I know where you live,” before dropping her off.
Police arrested a 24 year old Spring Park man on 6/28/04 at 1100 hours. He was later booked at the Hennepin County Sheriff’s Office, and was released pending further investigation.
A request for complaint is expected to be presented to the Hennepin County Attorney’s Office. The Orono investigation continues.
The subject is a white male 5-9, 285 pounds, glasses, brown hair. It is possible that this subject has been involved in similar incidents. Please call the Orono Police Department if you have further information on this case or any other incidents at 952.249.4700.
